I have been a member of the ASMS for over 15 years. It is the most collegial of all my professional memberships and provides me with excellent clinical and practical medical information that helps me provide my skin cancer patients with the best possible care with regards to Mohs surgery and skin cancer management. Since my residency in dermatology I wanted to find a pathway to train in the Mohs surgical technique. The ASMS gave me an opportunity to master this technique with the top dermatologists, plastic reconstructive surgeons and dermatopathologists in the field. The experienced members opened their offices to allow me to perfect my training with their patients.
The guidance and support continue to provide stellar continuing education and network of supportive peers. In addition the Board of the ASMS provides a voice for patients and physicians within the organized medical community to confirm that the Mohs surgical technique remains available for our patients in both rural and urban locations.

– Beth Goldstein MD

The ASMS is focused on offering instruction, ongoing education and collegial support to all physicians who perform Mohs surgery and all the technicians who support them, all in an effort to enhance patient care and cure skin cancer. I am proud to be a member of such a selfless organization.

– William Dillon, M.D.

I will be forever grateful to the ASMS for giving me an opportunity to fulfill my dream of having a surgical dermatology practice. Already well-trained during residency to perform skin cancer excisions and repairs, membership gave me the chance to add the Mohs procedure to my practice. Since the first time I contacted Novella and Brooke regarding membership, I have enjoyed the learning opportunities and unparalleled collegiality of this organization. The ASMS has also given me the chance to take leadership roles on a national basis regarding Mohs surgery and surgical dermatology. My scope of colleagues now includes many people who I look up to as mentors and heroes. This is a wonderfully unique medical organization.

– Hank Clever III, M.D.
