The Toledo Clinic Facial Plastics and Dermatology practice of David Kouba, M.D. is offering a premier opportunity for a skilled Mohs surgeon to join our growing Michigan-based team.

This is a perfect fit for the surgeon who wants to focus primarily on Mohs surgery within a dynamic, high-performing practice with exceptional flexibility and earning potential.

Experience/Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience performing Mohs surgery post-training; 5 years of experience preferred.
  • Board-certified in Dermatology with a specialization in Mohs surgery.
  • Proven surgical expertise, including complex cases.
  • Licensed or ability to obtain licensure in the State of Michigan.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mohs Surgery Histotech to join our dynamic surgical team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for the right candidates.

As a Mohs Histotech, you will play a crucial role in the preparation and processing of tissue samples, supporting our Mohs surgery practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process Mohs surgical specimens in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Master automated IHC staining work flows for permanent sections and frozen sections.
  • Perform routine histological procedures, including embedding, sectioning, and staining of tissue samples.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with the surgeon and other team members to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma; an associate or bachelors degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality work.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team.

Experience/Qualifications
