Fellow Member

Licensed dermatologists who are Board certified by the American Board of Dermatology (www.abd.org) or the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology (www.aobd.org), or their international equivalents, are eligible to apply for Fellow membership. The applicant must have completed a minimum of seventy-five (75) Mohs surgery cases with full documentation; have submitted two (2) complete Mohs cases for review, have furnished two (2) letters of character reference from other Board certified dermatologists; and have passed a written and practical examination on Mohs surgery. Fellow members also must participate in the Society's annual quality assurance/peer review program, and shall attend at least once every three (3) years either the ASMS Fundamentals of Mohs Surgery course or Clinical Symposium: Dermatologic Surgery: Focus on Skin Cancer. These requirements may change periodically at the discretion of the ASMS Board of Directors. 

Fellow members have full membership rights as recognized under customary parliamentary practice, including the rights to attend membership meetings, to participate in discussion, to vote, to be a candidate for elective office, and to accept appointment to committees and councils. Fellows shall be obligated to pay all dues and assessments imposed on Fellow members under Article XI of the Bylaws, and shall be obligated to observe the Bylaws and Administrative Regulations of the Society.
